Our Love Story
Forced meeting to say the least…that’s how Caleb would describe it. The first time they met it would only be appropriate to be at a beer bar! Gordon Biersch on 4th street live, it was strategically located across the street from one of Caleb’s stores, in case there was a need for a quick getaway. Much to his surprise, a getaway wasn’t required, and they talked for hours, it was clear that there was something special in that conversation.
That’s just one side of the story. Sarah tells of a story of a cold winter day, when Caleb tried to cancel the date because he was “tired” having already put her makeup on and changed clothes, she was not to be deterred and insisted on the meeting. After talking for hours, she found herself falling in love with his selflessness as he was the most caring person she had ever met.
Over the next couple of years, they found a love of traveling, hanging out with Mickey at Disney World, spending time on the beach in Maui, exploring the country music hall of fame in Nashville and taking up a new diving hobby in Key West.
Caleb proposed on Friday, September 18, 2020. Caleb had a photo book made with all of the wonderful memories we made in 2020. He said, “2020 wasn’t so bad,” and boy was he right!
We got married on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with close friends and family due to COVID restrictions. We look forward to the celebration of our marriage on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at The Olmsted in Louisville, KY.
